A Lemonade and Sunshine Party

Jess from Pen N' Paper Flowers styled this super cute vintage lemonade and sunshine party for a combined birthday party for her oldest daughters. The colors are great, the theme is age appropiate, and the styling is wonderful. Great job, Jess!

The party was held outside under the tress

Jess used a cupboard to display old fashioned desserts

I love how she decorated the wrought iron chairs...who new that tin cans could look so sheek?

Some pink lemonade for the guest....

Served in mason jars

The birthday "banner" goes right along with the theme...so creative!

The cupcakes: mini lemon cupcakes with lemon cream cheese frosting

Lemonade sugar cookie sandwiches

A pink lemonade cake

Lemon drop filled jars

And the favor buckets

I really enjoyed all of the details from this party. I hope that you do as well!

A Shower for Baby "Z"

This past May, photographer Wendy Updegraff gave her sister am amazing baby shower with no details forgotten. The Tiny Prints invitation served as the inspiration for the shower's orange and pink color palette. A tent covered the beautiful table setting, and was decorated with paper lanters and a special “baby Mama” banner. They made sugar scrub jars for the party favors which also doubled as the placecards. The large "Z" that Wendy and her mom made using artificial flowers made a HUGE visual statement {the baby's name is Zoe}. I love it! Check out more of Wendy's photographic work when you get a chance.

A Cupcake Summer

I have several events this summer that I plan on making cupcakes for and I am super excited to try out some new creative designs. Here are a few of my new summer-inspired favorties:

Ice Cream Cupcakes
These miniature desserts are dressed up with a refreshingly delicious scoop of gelato

Corn-on-the-Cob Cupcakes
This cupcake creation capitalizes on summer's quintessential farm-stand find: corn! I am definitely trying this one out before the end of the summer.

Huckleberry Cupcakes
Huckleberries are the perfect topping for sweet cream-covered cupcakes!

Shark and Beach Cupcakes
No words necessary. Everyone will love these, especially if you are at the beach.

Strawberry Cupcakes
A fun twist to the traditional summertime Strawberry Shortcake.

Patriotic Cupcake Pops
Bakerella's cupcake pops would be great for this weekend's 4th of July celebrations. You could decorate regular cupcakes the same way as well.

We would love to see your creative summertime cupcake creations. Have fun baking!

A sign directing guest to the back

Beth set up a concession stand out of her porch windows. So creative!

It wouldn't be a true baseball party without a hot vendor!

The desserts included cake pops, a home plate cake, and chocolate marshmellows made by Beth as well as cookies made by just-iced on etsy.

Other ballpark concessions...

And the party favors {bats and balls}

An Edible Landscape

Parent's Magazine offers a great alternative to the ordinary at your next playdate. Make your snack table come alive with a few simple steps {and delicious treats}! Cover a table with butcher paper and paint it into the cutest buffet ever. Plan out your masterpiece according to your bowls and platters. Pizzas make great wheels, silicone cupcake liners work perfectly as caterpillar cookie stands, and carrot sticks make colorful sun rays. Your kids will have a blast helping you plan it out and their friends will enjoy the final result.

A San Francisco Styled Wedding

This is Sheek Shindigs first wedding feature and I just adore all of the DETAILS. This San Francisco couple opted for an intimate, low-key wedding which included 70 of their closest family and friends witnessing their exchange of vows at San Francisco's City Hall. They then led their guests through the streets to their favorite German restaurant for an afternoon meal to celebrate.

The couple announces their martial status on the front steps of City Hall

The invitations were designed by San Francisco artist Jeff Canham

The table decor. L-O-V-E it!!

The wedding favors were sourdough pretzels dipped in chocolate and packaged in glassine envelopes stitched with red thread. Details, details!!

The couple built and painted this amazing stacked cake stand to display an assortment of "Ridiculous Rum Cakes" by Pamela Cianci of Sugar and Spike. This is just been added to my DIY list. I have to make one for myself!

You can see more details about this event
here.
