Fab Finds GIVEAWAY!
GOT MILK?
This weeks FAB FIND is offering so much inspiration for a baby shower or young child's birthday party. I stumbled across these got milk? chocolate flavored straws by accident. It was actually the cute cow print packaging that caught my eye.
To use, simply place the chocolate straw into a glass of milk, sip, and WA LA... you've got chocolate milk! I know that my kids are excited to try these out. They would be so much fun to add to a Cookies and Milk themed birthday party.
Here are a few inspirational Cookies and Milk party photos from a party style:
More from Juicy Bits
So here is our first GIVEAWAY. Become a follower of our blog AND leave a comment to win a 10-pack of these fun straws to try out for yourself! The comment can be about the straws, another party idea that you could use these at, or whatever is on your mind. We will announce the winner on Friday, June 4th.

Spring Themed Party
April Showers brought MAY 4 Flowers!
Sheek Shindigs designed and set up a spring themed birthday party for a special little girl (May) turning 4. The decorations were based around flowers and spring colors.
The invitation
The cupcake flowers
The table. Each setting had a custom water bottle, flower pot favor (the kids planted flowers in them to take home), coloring page with crayons, and a butterfly straw.
Some of the hanging decorations included paper lanterns and paper flowers. We found the tuturiol for the paper flowers on Martha Stewart.
"Happy Birthday May" Banner (Yes, the birthday girl's name is May. Even that is spring-like!).
Custom water bottle wraps
The fruit "flowers"
One of the party activities was painting flowers on a canvas to take home. Each child used their hands and feet to make the flowers, stems, and petals. They were really cute! Click here to see a previous post on this fun project.
Each child also got to plant a flower to take home in their personalized flower pot as the party favor. The birthday girl picked out the yellow marigolds.

LOLA'S 6TH BIRTHDAY PARTY
Well, I can't believe that my Lola girl is 6 years old!
Where does the time go?
This year was big for Lola because she got
to go to New York City to celebrate
her 6th birthday at the American Girl Place!
It was a great experience and she
was one happy little girl:) So, we decided
that her friends birthday party would
be small and low key. She invited 9 of her
closest friends to help her celebrate.
We played the cross step game, pick pocket tag
(this was the party favorite), and
everyone got to make an american girl bracelet.
Everyone had a blast!!

A Fin-tastic Summer Party
For the past couple of years, my husband and I (Sarah Y.) have hosted a summer kick-off party and invited different friends and some of my husband's co-workers. Well, that time of year is quickly appraching and I have been brainstorming ideas for this year's celebration. Jess from polkadots & pirates featured a birthday party that she did for her son back in February. I LOVED it then and it is offering lots of inspiration to me now as I brainstorm our next backyard celebration. This would be a great theme for a summer birthday party as well. Check it out here for more pictures.
